Pavakka (Bitter Gourd) Mezhukkupuratty

A Vitamin rich and colourful veggie dish!

Ingredients :-
  • Bitter gourd - 2-3 numbers (Medium size)
  • Green Chilli - 4-5 nos 
  • Coconut sliced in to thin small square pieces - 1/4 cup
  • Curry leaves - 2 sprigs
  • Oil - 2 tsp
  • Salt - To taste
Preparation Method :
  1. Slice the bitter gourd into small thin round pieces.
  2. Cut the green chillis. 
  3. Mix the bitter gourd with green chillies, sliced coconuts, curry leaves and salt.
  4. Cook the mixed ingredients without water in a closed vessel.
  5. Keep it in a medium flame for 5-6 minutes.
  6. Heat frying pan and pour enough oil into the pan.
  7. Add the mixture and allow keep it in a low flame for 7-8 minutes.
